Yom Kippur- Repairing our past, preparing for our future. « TheWritersCafe.org: "The most beautiful quote that I have ever heard regarding the importance of preserving the old ways while allowing for new things was this:
“Assist the new, without sacrificing the old.” -Thomas Mann
That quote which seems so appropriate here I have always incorrectly attributed to Herman Hesse. The reason for this being is that it is a fairly famous quotation which begins the preface which was written by Thomas Mann to Hermann Hesse’s Novel, Demian.
While on the surface it might simply seem that a book with a title like that would be the furthest thing from a post mainly about pre Yom Kippur thoughts, it was the message behind the Thomas Mann quote that came to mind in relation to the the new website which I saw advertised on bulletin board in my home town of Passaic NJ."
Transparency in practice, This websites precedes the initial release of the fully functional website (now currently in its domain-seed form).
